Firm OverviewMr. Cowan says, "Our debtor clients truly learn their options and are able to make responsible, informed decisions about their financial affairs. These options may include workouts, reorganizations, or liquidation bankruptcy. Creditor clients can make cost-effective decisions about their claims, whether that involves stay relief motions, objections to discharge of debts, supporting or opposing Plans in Chapter 9, 11, 12 and 13 cases, or other issues. We are too busy to 'milk' cases, and we believe that clients are best served when they understand what is being done for them, the probable cost, and the results that can be expected." Because of his extensive experience as a pro tem judge, arbitrator, and mediator in the Shasta County Courts, as a commercial arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association, and mediator for the Dispute Resolution Panel of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of California, Mr. Cowan is also available for private mediation and arbitration of civil controversies.
